When most people think of the book of Revelation
they imagine an apocalyptic end of the world. A world ending
with monsters, fire and judgement that brings about an end to
our civilization and our humanness. Because we don't understand
what this book is about, many erroneous and frightening ideas
and even movies have come about depicting it.
We set about to try to understand what
the truth was, what it was really all about. Through many years
of investigation, we found a pattern and a relationship to types
and symbols that were put forth in the Bible a thousand years
before this book was written. By understanding this relationship,
we have come to understand more of what this book really means.
The thread of evidence we located was in
the Jewish (and Biblical) Feasts of the Lord (also known as the
Feasts of Israel). These are described in the book of Leviticus
(also known as the book of the Law) in the Old Testament and
other books as well. The Jews of Israel were required by the
Law that God set down in the Old Testament, to observe each of
the Feasts in the correct time and place. When John wrote the
book of Revelation, he was very familiar with the Feasts, as
he was a Jew and had attended the Feasts all his life. The Feasts
that Israel observed were not only symbolic to the Jewish people,
but they were and are also prophetic.
By researching many historical books, Jewish
books and other researchers books, we were able to find many
interesting facts about the methods of rituals and ways of the
Jewish culture during the time of the Old Testament, especially
as they related to Feasts. With these intriguing clues, we began
our study of the book of Revelation.
We began putting together this puzzle in
the light of the Feasts. We were excited when we found clear
relationship to the Feasts in the book of Revelation. Surely
their prophetic meaning is for joy and not for the horrible things
that are portrayed in some of the writings.
One of the reasons that we wrote this book,
was because we discovered not only were most Christians unaware
of their Jewish roots, but that they had all but forgotten that
Jesus was a Jew and that the Bible was written by Jewish people.
Therefore, if you have information regarding the Jewish people
and their culture, you will have a better understanding of the
words written in the Bible.
While arguments about the time of the rapture
and the identity of the beast have been focused upon by many,
the glorious message of this Revelation has been largely ignored.
We are confident when you complete this
study, the last book of the Bible will become a familiar favorite.
JESUS IS LORD!
